Your donation will help get more First Nations involvement in our municipality and provincial elections!

 

First Nations Leadership and Governance Association is a nonpartisan nonprofit society that focuses on recruiting, mentoring, and supporting First Nations candidates for government elections, starting with the 2026 local elections in BC. Your assistance will help us achieve equity in governments where First Nations are severely under-represented and incorporate First Nations perspectives into essential governance decisions.  In BC, there are currently 1,040 mayors and councillors in municipalities, and only 7 of them are First Nations.  Every dollar you help us with will not only help narrow that gap but also ensure that our elected officials are well-trained and prepared.
