Michael Moses
Founder &
Executive Director
Michael is a passionate and compassionate leader, as well as a proud member of the Lower Nicola Indian Band, and community member in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. He is a dedicated leader in public service, nonprofit governance, and Indigenous advocacy in the City of Williams Lake, provincially, and federally. He is a City Councillor for Williams Lake, and serves on several prestigeous boards across Canada.

Thomas Schoen
President
Thomas Schoen is an award-winning consultant and co-founder of the Indigenous Youth Mountain Bike Program, with over 30 years of leadership experience in arts, business, and sports organizations. He managed the successful municipal election campaign for Michael Moses in Williams Lake and has worked with close to 40 Indigenous communities on projects that advance reconciliation, youth empowerment, and economic development. His work is featured in the acclaimed documentary Dirt Relations.

Reid Skelton-Morven
Vice-President
Reid Skelton-Morven is a Ts’msyen and Nisga’a leader who has dedicated nearly a decade to public service and community empowerment. First elected to Prince Rupert City Council at the age of 24 and sworn in at 25, Reid became one of the youngest Indigenous municipal leaders in Canada. His time in office has been devoted to advancing inclusive growth, strengthening partnerships between Indigenous Nations and municipalities, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Beyond elected office, Reid is the Chief Empowerment Officer and Community Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Nation Prosperity Consulting Group, where he champions Indigenous entrepreneurship, governance innovation, and pathways for prosperity in both urban and rural communities.
As Vice President of the First Nations Leadership & Governance Association, Reid brings his lived experience and passion for mentorship to support Indigenous and marginalized leaders in stepping into public office. He is committed to creating opportunities, building strong governance frameworks, and ensuring that leadership remains rooted in service, resilience, reconciliation, and the collective good of all communities.

Joshua McLeod
Secretary & Treasurer
Joshua is a Senior Constituency Advisor for Tamara Davidson, MLA for North Coast-Haida Gwaii. For the last seven years he has worked as a Caseworker and Constituency Advisor with a focus on community engagement, stakeholder relations, and managing projects and political representatives.

Katisha Paul
Youth Representative

Katisha Paul, also known as Kwikws l̲vs̲áos (Little Angel), is a xwílŋəxw sɬéniʔ (woman of this land: She/her pronouns) from the W̱JOȽEȽP and Lil’wat nations living in xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam) territory, British Columbia, Canada. She is the Union of BC Indian Chiefs Women's Representative, BC First Nations Justice Council policy analyst, elected United Nations Global Indigenous Youth Caucus Co-Chair, Urban Native Youth Association Board member, and has served as the UBCIC Youth Representative and the BC Assembly of First Nations FN Climate Leadership Agenda Steering Committee member.
Katisha protects First Nations' inherent land, title, and human rights with the guidance of cultural knowledge systems and First Nations laws that are derived from the land. She continues to call for the active implementation of the UN Declaration by holding colonial governments accountable to the British Columbia’s UN Declaration Act Action Plan and Canada’s UN Declaration Action Plan. Our cultures and languages are gifts from the land that Katisha is honoured to be actively revitalizing alongside the Matriarchs, Elders, Knowledge Holders, Youth, and Two Spirit+ relatives.

Loretta Jeff-Combs
Youth Representative

Loretta Jeff-Combs is Tsilhqot’in from Tlesqox and Tletinqox First Nations. She's an elected Tlesqox Ts’iqi Dechen Ts’edilhtan (Women’s Council Representative) and serves as a Chief’s Assistant. Her work supports governance and community and cultural priorities. Loretta is also a student at the University of British Columbia, where she is pursuing studies focused on Indigenous health, leadership, and policy. Her work is rooted in advancing Indigenous youth voices, community wellness, cultural and language continuity, and sovereignty, while balancing her roles as a mother, advocate, and emerging policy leader.
